Do I need to set up an account with Georgia Tech in order to sign up for a research project?

Students do not need to set up an account with Georgia Tech to sign up for a particular research project. The website is open to the public so prospective students from can discover what types of research opportunities are available.

How do I search for different research projects?

There are 3 ways to find research projects.

  1. To search for a specific project, click "New Search" under the Search Postings menu. You can enter in keywords, schools, professors, semesters and so on.
  2. To browse projects by professor, college, school, etc., click on a link under the Browse Postings menu. For example, if you click "By Professors", a list of projects grouped by professors will appear.
  3. To view all available research projects, click "List All" in the Browse Postings menu.

What if none of the posted projects match my interests?

If none of the posted projects match your interests, there are additional online resources for finding opportunites on the UROP website. The UROP office is also available to assist in finding research opportunities. Contact the UROP office at urop@gatech.edu for more information.
