The PURA Salary Awards offer $1,500 to undergraduate students who are conducting research under the supervision and mentorship of a Georgia Tech or Georgia Tech Research Institute faculty member. To apply, students write a proposal consisting of 2 parts: Part 1 is a 2-page project description, which must be written by the student, and Part 2 is a 1-page statement of mentor/mentee expectations, which the student should develop in consultation with their faculty mentor. Applications for Spring 2026 PURA Salary Awards are due Monday, September 22 by 5 pm ET.
To help students write competitive proposals, UROP is hosting an information session on two different dates: September 4 and September 9 - choose the date that works best for you! We'll share tips on the most important strengths and most common weaknesses of PURA Salary Award proposals. Bring your laptops and your questions!
